Millie Brobston, Founder and Principal of Sycamore Philanthropy, has more than 20 years of experience working with non-profit organizations and foundations, both in the U.S. and internationally. Millie has worked on a wide range of issues and has a deep knowledge of the philanthropic sector and a lifelong commitment to social justice. In her professional career she worked as a program officer at a family foundation; helped launch a women’s fund in Central America; led fundraising efforts for a national organization fighting predatory lending practices and led grantmaking at an intermediary focused on community economic development. Millie lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with her husband and son. She is fluent in Spanish, enjoys dancing to good music, hiking on local trails, watching backyard birds and coaxing vegetables out of the garden.
