For a long time, I was part of the Edge Fund, funding grassroots groups fighting injustice and inequality in Britain and Ireland. This is not to be confused with the EDGE Funders Alliance, the network of progressive funders, but admittedly it's very confusing, especially as I was also part of EDGE too for many years. I have been involved with things that aren't called 'edge', including co-founding FundAction, the participatory fund and platform for European activists, and Global Greengrants, which gives small grants to environmental justice movements. Having only been part of tiny non-hierarchical social justice groups for many years, I went to the other extreme and joined the Open Society Foundations over the last five years. I'm originally from Manila and England, but I now live in Berlin. I'm a karaoke starter and wannabe podcaster.
